Hi all,

I know there has been a few topics about oil hoses, but none too recent. I am not sure i want to pay over $100 for the nice 3/8 herringbone hose. I have seen some transmission oil hose that looks pretty good. I have been searching the net looking for some quality oil hose (usa). Has anyone found any they are happy with and where did it come from?

Thanks
Jerry

I use transmission oil cooler hose. Works just fine

Or power steering return line -which is the same thing but some parts stores have it with a little different design.

Maybe the hoses are for sale at AN. I don't think they are herringbone type and they just sell generic-- can anyone confirm??
I am going to pop in the local auto parts store to look at transmission hose today...

The last oil hoses I got from AN had this herringbone design.

I bought oil line with herringbone pattern from the local NAPA store...Not exact but close enough for me..CHEAP...

Edelman 81206, 25' roll, has the closest appearance to the herringbone look, and it will outlast your next rebuild. Online from Amazon or Rock auto, or call around and see if your local auto parts store carries it. From rock Auto, .99 c a foot ( their freight can be stupid), Amazon about $1.40.

I think this is their only offering for herringbone type hose these days. Every other part # has a P on the end meaning "plain" hose.
