oh dear!

aint looking too good, can this be salveged?

hi alpha, i think its a bit late to sue norton, it might not have been them to blame anyway , regarding camshaft david newman camshafts in uk will be able to sort the cam

I think the real question is "who put the silicon in there in the first place?" I don't think they used it at the factory. No?

PM'd you Seely

I was told by the POs missis & docs tend to support this (though I am having my doubts as more oddities turn up, I had wondered about silicon being used at the factory) that the only time the engine had been out was when it went back to have superblends put in. The story goes that he'd bought it in 74 from the original owner, rode it for 3 yrs then contracted some illness that made the DVLA take his licence away (bummer) he then kept it in his garage, greased up & kicking her over once a month until he joined the choir invisable in 98 this is where I stepped in & bought it from his missis in 2000. I must say the rollers dont look very barrel shape to me I'll have to check the bearing numbers might just replace them to be on the safe side.

Don't blame Norton, I don't think they ever used silicon to keep the oil "inside"
