We always called those "grantourismo" grips, don't know if it's proper, accurate, slang, etc. there are good tacky ones, and hard, slippery poor quality ones. The pic below (lifted from the Old Britts web site), if not exact, is very close to what came on my bike when new ('75 Roadster, bought in Charleston, South Carolina).

The original grips were "Gran Turismo - Made in Italy"
The current genuine Andover Norton grips are marked "Grand Touring - Made in Italy "
The Beston grips are Japanese copies, they have a more "plasticky" feel to them as do the original Gran Turismos, the Andover Norton "Grand Touring" grips are a softer compound and have a more tacky feel, so they are more comfortable and easier to keep hold of when wet (or oily).
All I can figure is some wise guy Texan getting them made in Taiwan, telling them the name to put on the package... "We just call 'em Titty Grips" :lol:batrider said:Too funny. That squishy feel must have inspired the name! Worth buying just to keep around for laughs.

Tiddies Sandals have been called Titties Sandals or Titties Flip Flops
It's because of our popular Boobs Logo!

In the '70's when this material came out it was all the rage in college boys dorms to have titty grips on our door knobs for a zing each time passing through.
