OEM short open exhaust for sale

I've the short ones, I like them but would try the open short OEM as well.
I would like to hear your opinion, because having the Norton short open was wondering about the Hattec short mufflers. I’ve also thought that the cornering clearances are better with the Hattec short mufflers.

take into account that I would like whatever existing to improve even more my Commando behaviour. So I'm not reliable in terms of rational reasoning ;) despite being an engineer.
Hattech exhaust work well and the clearances with ground and chain are good. But who knows whether with my current map ( I developed and tested 100 maps at least) would works even better with the short OEM ? Thus my request .

again trying to find out someone that has a pair of OEM short exhaust to sell me
Maybe these would be of interest. Handmade in the U.K. By Alldens exhausts….

I know this is a Domi, but he can make anything you like.

Like em, like em a lot! The Dommie pipes fitted to the 961 look great and sound epic of course. Only seen one example - remember thinking that they looked a little ‘rounded’ though, for the 961’s longer profile.

The Allfens pipes above look much better to my eye, ‘squared up’ slightly around the engine and nicely tucked in.

No doubt these guys will be able to mount them to the 961 without much difficulty - I’m certainly interested, although I’d wanna know how they may affect running.

The below is a (very) rough mock up of them mounted to the 961 - how they will look, and might ‘colour up’ if the original shorts are any guide.

I think they look great. You will have to work on hanger brackets of course and hopefully be able to rubber mount them.

They look ceramic coated, no?
Dare I ask if there is any decibel reduction core in the system?
What EFI mapping would be required?

304 Stainless steel according to Cliff’s original post - not sure about the ceramic coating. These could be polished up of course.

Baffles? That was my first thought also, then ya could choose whether you want to go full anti-social, or only part!

I had the guts ripped out of my original longs, the map was changed to the short opens and she ran sweet as a nut. These Alldens exhausts are obviously completely open - not sure how that would affect running, if at all.

For those not interested in carrying a passenger obviously - I guess we’d need a modified rear hanger frame and exhaust mounting as Tony notes. Not sure whether anyone has approached Alldens about mounting to the 961 Commando.

Hello , I just saw the 2in. Head pipes ! That’s huge , I wonder how it affects the power band ? Looks like one piece header and muffler , very interesting.
