Hi All,
I have been looking to buy a new EBC disc to replace my Norvil disc. The splines on the inside of my norvil disc are worn & it rattles a lot.
Does anyone know which bike has a 5 hole fixing 330mm disc with a 15mm offset.
The EBC discs are only around £80 for a fully floating replacement but the norvil one is a lot dearer .
If I get no replies I will have to send the the spec of to EBC to see if they can help.
I did find a second hand disc at a breakers with the 5 mounting holes in the correct place & the same offset but it was only a 320mm diameter.
Thanks in advance, cheers Don

Normally the splines on the cast iron disc don't wear out, the ones on the aluminium carrier do.
The best option is to buy a new carrier. Modern discs don't look right on a Commando. Most of them are stainless steel, less "grippy" than cast iron.

Hi Don

My friend is going to be looking at my Norvil discs soon. As you say they wear & rattle like buggery. He made up some discs for his mates BMW race bike with alloy carriers & Nissan Cabstar cast iron discs (from the van)

I will let you know what he says

Chris

That disc has been on ebay 2 or 3 times already. It has 6 mounting holes not the 5 of a standard hub which may be why it has not sold.

I saw this at Barber. I think it's a member here. Thought it looked pretty slick and would stop the bike aplenty.

Ah, it's leia. Sick sweet bike. I should have looked at it more. Heck, I should have talked to her more. Hopefully she'll see this.

I want a disc like that. I have a Brembo to go with it. SBC or EBC ought to be able to make up a disc to go with it without an adapter. No reply from them as yet.

P.S. That sure looks like a CNW adapter.

Yes, maybe at some point their volume got to the point where the disc and adapter got to be more expensive than custom from the manufacturers. I came across these guys today. They say they make discs for "Classics". Looks like they don't make them in cast iron, I wonder if it matters for a street bike? Their order form is in metric. I'll call them tomorrow and see. Looks promising.

Yep - for Norvil hubs only, and without the backing spring cup not much use at all.

that's no cnw adapter... matt only sells full kits... i designed that one myself and had a friend machine it
