Norton Takeaway???

May as well get used to it, these people are SERIOUS about building these new Nortons, and judging by their past performance, they will be "players" for some time to come. No flakes, no rip-offs, just lots and lots of BIKES.

...like 'em or not!

Just a point.. This is the Chinese using the 650 engine, but not marketed as a Norton motorcycle (I think). TWS (India) have yet to announce 'new' Norton branded models.... Unless anyone knows otherwise?
(Apologies if I'm stating the obvious)

It's in the eye of the beholder, most of whom are probably way younger than us lot! Listen to what passes for music these days if you need further evidence of the gap.....
 
Looks like a cluttered BMW adventure bike to me. Not particularly better or worse looking than any motorcycle on a new bike dealer showroom floor today. I've only been in a BMW dealer showroom lately though, so WTF do I know.

A Chinese manufactured motorcycle with an engine built in India. Every corner that can be cut will be. Should be affordable.

If the price it right, it will sell where ever it is going to be available.
 
TVS may build a 650 engine in India but the Chinese licence is for production and use in their own models, they had made engines last year before the failure.
 
It will be interesting to see if it becomes possible to buy a 961 motor direct from China. If it could be built into a Seeley frame, it might make a very nice project bike for use on track days
 
The main thing not to be trusting in ANY Chinese-made gasoline-powered appurtenance is the engine, so since they're getting engines elsewhere, maybe the bikes won't be that bad.
