Forgot to add any text....this started life as a perfectly good MK3 but you know how it goes, took it off the road for a few months and redid most things, except the frame, a lot of mods compared to a standard model, I can answer any specific questions if you have any......Many great suppliers involved such as CNW, Lansdowne, Buchanans etc.

Looks great, well done, now get out and ride it, enjoy all your hard work.

Already put 1000 on since then, and 10,000 before that, did not redo the motor, goes well. A lot of work to make the headlamp brackets work properly, they were old Dominator units, the ears were moved down 1.5", part of some old commando units welded to the top and the bottoms modified to suit MK3 bottom yolk, where the fork gaiters attach..........Brembo brakes with a Grimeca master cylinder, i did not want to change the switchgear from the original type. Nice to have brakes that actually stop the bike...........along with the excellent Lansdowne units, excellent combo.

My old orgianal brakes nearly killed me one day it was the best thing I did was to go moden front brakes I went the full Gremica set up and it works so good with the Lansdown upgrade as well, my Featherbed/Commando is a bit lighter than the Commando and it brakes very good now.

Nice. Did you vent the right side cover just to get more air over the oil tank or is there more to it then that??

The cover was already drilled, I just cut the area out and the back as well, added the stainless mesh, good looking and functional.....I think the PR's were vented also.....

Nice build. Lots of neat detailing.
Now Ride it. You will meet all sorts of people who will come up to you when ever you stop and want to chat.
Cheers,
Tom

Thanks, I get questions all the time, people that have them, or had one, some that think it is the new model!......all leads to interesting conversations though.....one guy said he had 2 just like that, one 78 & one 79?...... takes all sorts. Norton people & British bike types are the most interesting to talk to in my opinion!

Is the tube exiting the fender in place of a breather? Very nicely done Mk3. I'm impressed with the details. I'm flipping my front brake over this weekend, I hate the lefty setup, it just looks funny and like an add on.

The brackets are in place of the usual zip tie approach, water jet from thin stainless steel...i agree about the brake swap, never looked right on the left, i suppose they saved money on a fender stay though!.....that CNW brake would look odd on the other side! thanks for the comments, it was a fun project.....sometimes.

 Same for car people, although it was usually a brother or cousin that had one. Very nicely done. Do you rent out time on your water jet? I can just imagine all kinds of things you could build with one!

I just make the files and send them out, get them back & bend & polish them...........I am in the graphics business. Changed the colors on the speedo and tach to match the bike, had the new faces fitted when they were rebuilt........ties it all together.
