Thanks L.A.B. You are as ever a font of knowledge, this information should be very useful in identifying thread types and sizes for our needs. I often find fasteners of the correct dimensions at my local nut and bolt emporium much cheaper than I can buy them elsewhere, but it helps a lot to have the specifications for those occasions where there is no sample available.
probably an unecessary caution, but here it is anyway,be careful of the quality of fasteners from your local "emporium",the fastener market has been flooded with sub standard products for quite some time,a weak fastener can ruin your day,especially on an engine mounting / suspension application,genuine Norton fasteners may cost a bit more but you will get a part that is up to the task.Ride safely.
