Hi All
Would anybody happen to know what part this is? Came with the 1967 Atlas project bike that I am working on. I combed through the Andover Norton catalogue and couldn't come up with anything. Thanks

I'll take a guess, but will say up front I have no idea.
It doesn't look like any stock Atlas part I'm familiar with.
My first guess would be its a custom frame spacer (top of the rear frame loops) with a bracket for a non standard seat or fender attached. (see 55 on the diagram below.) Hard to judge from the pictures if its the right length or diameter to be something like that though.
My second guess is that its something completely unrelated that someone threw in a box of bits that came with your project, which is a cruel thing that people do sometimes.
Interested to see if anyone recognizes it.

Interesting you came up with the spacer idea. I was thinking the same thing. It's a perfect fit between the frame bosses and the correct ID for the 3/8 threaded fastener. Who knows?? Thanks

I say it is NOT a standard Atlas part.
I am with Trevor Hallam .......its something completely unrelated that someone threw in a box of bits that came with your project. Perhaps the PO had a purpose for it on the Atlas.

Never had a slimline with a toolbox. Do you have one? Is the mystery part chromed? Do you have the original frame spacer?
