Ya Tim, I think Guzzis and Nortons cohabitate well.

I must admit Tonti's are pretty cool also.

In November last year I bought the pictured very tatty Guzzi, and another Le Mans 1 completely dismantled as a job lot. They are now both totally dismantled and stashed around my house and garage awaiting to be rebuilt.

I now have most of the new parts required for the pictured Guzzi to be rebuilt (there is a lot of worn out stuff on this one including a lot of the drive train), and all of the cycle parts have now been painted and the engine bead blasted etc.......in fact I'm going to pick up the heads this morning which have had some fins welded back on, and so it will start going back together next month.

What I found pleasantly suprising about these Tonti Guzzis is that the spares situation for these is not dissimilar to Norton Commandos in that some cycle/engine parts are rare/unobtainable, but probably 80% of parts are still available, albeit some of them are patterned.

Beautiful!! You have a couple of very nice Guzzis there Dave! Do you notice much difference in high speed handling between Tonti and loop? I have never ridden a loop but my 850T rides like it's on rails!!

Dave,

That is really lovely. Hope it rides as good as it looks. I almost picked up one of these recently... Am still kicking myself....

The Tonti frame bikes are definitely a step up in the Guzzi food chain, and have a more sporting feel at higher speeds, but the Eldo is not a slouch.
