Colin Cheney has invited us all back again this year to the local NOC annual event , Nortons there will be of all ages & models .
13 is the most we’ve managed on the day & that was in 2018 , so we got every chance of smashing that this year , after all the old Norton factory was knocking out at least 10 a week from then till when it shut ( or so we are told )
There was an operation error last year with a pals Dommie , resulting in us not arriving till gone 5pm , by time I got home I’d gone over 500 miles that day , most of it in the rain.
Few of us are staying local night b4 , the Hilton at Corby is my destination, so come on down & share your journey of “ how I ended up with s 961”

And a dual front disc MK3, wish my MK3 looked like that one.

That was Mr Martin..a true gent. His alloy tank now lives on my Domi! So part of my bike has done this already! :D :D
 
From the 961 Owners Club - further support from the NOC. Got to be happy with that! Not the same event as outlined on this thread; may need a thread of its own.

And, Sir Stu of Bodycote will be in attendance! up to 20 961’s in the same place - you might wanna take your toolkit Stu!!🤣

Great opportunity to see Donington and Solihull models side by side.

What a great day! Sunny, great location, great company lots of luvverly Nortons including a good turnout of 961s. I think we showed that 961s aren’t just investment pieces or dry weather boutique bikes but owners are getting out and using them. Really enjoyed catching up with you all.
 
Apologies that I didn't get along. Just 28 miles up the road. I made it last year without a bike (just had a knee opp) and was intending to get there this year but I had to be at a christening 😞

Nice to see a decent turnout though, I think 10 is pretty good since quite a few owners since the day we had 13 have sold up. I don't suppose any new Birmingham 961's made it did they, all Donnington bikes I guess. Next year, lets break the record.

That’s what I thought - 588 race bike in Yamaha road bike clothes I think. Odd choice:oops:

Ah, didn’t read previous posts. Still an unusual choice but I’d love to ride it:D👍
