Nitrile gaskets

$20 for a 4' roll of this Buna Nitrile rubber stuff. I cut out some rocker gaskets for my triumph and they've held up quite well, so far no distortion or leaks. Will be making some rocker gaskets for the norton this weekend, but for the price of the roll, should have enough to last the life of the bike.

Just keep temp range of -30 F / 250 F (about 120°C) in mind.

As long as the nitrile has a high shore number it'll be fine, if not you'll crush it or the nuts will come loose or both.

90A hard silicon sheet is available from McMaster Carr
Comes in 1/32" or 1/16 thickness etc. Use no sealer. Works great and you don't have to worry about the temp. Just be sure you find the 90A hard (hardest). Standard silicon is around 50 to 70 hard and is too soft.
