The current (Dec 2013) issue of Motorcycle Sport & Leisure (out of the UK) has a nice five-page piece about a 1969 Norton 750 Commando S. The bike featured is non-standard in a number of ways (850 engine transplant, wrong side panel decals, wrong taillight housing, non-standard muffler mount, etc) but is otherwise pretty nice looking. It's a fairly positive review, I'd say. They suggest the Norton Commando was the best British bike (ever?).
The magazine is available at Barnes & Noble, I think, or can be ordered from Chris Smith at Classic Bike Books (http://www.classicbikebooks.com)
