Hello to all,

Rode a Commando 25 years ago a bit, now picked up a neglected one from a relatives barn. It is of course a 1971 black roadster 750. I still have to take stock of it and find all the parts, in the meantime will be lurking and reading here about the best way to get the bike reliable and on the road.

Photos and questions probably coming later this year.

Welcome - I am pretty new myself and find this place quite helpful, and often amusing too!
One of the great things about owing a Norton now as compared to early 70's is that history, experience, and innovation have been blended over the past 40 years and made available to all via the internet.
Not to mention PARTS! LOTS OF PARTS!
Highly recommend you join INOA and get the 'Tech Digest'. I just received mine, and it is packed with tips and advise to help you get that machine back on the road. And be more reliable than when it was made.
Helps if you enjoy wrenchin' as much as ridin'... or have a lot of $ to throw at a good mechanic.

Welcome
Great folks on this board and always willing to answer questions.
Love pictures.
Check out OldBritts.com for great support articles and parts service.

Check the fuel tank........if it's made of Fibreglass it will become junk unless it is sealed, due to the effect of ethanol in fuel on the Fiberglass.
