Thanks all for the warm welcome and the tips. I guess I'll have plenty of time to ask inane questions as I wait for the arrival.....

Hi All,

I thought it was time for an update. Well famous last words indeed. The bike arrived in November after many delays. I have since finised a very frustrating registration process (only today). My first impression now having had the opportunity t ride this thing (other than around the block):

:D :D :D :D :D   My God these things handle well.

I have read these pages every day since the bike arrived in my quest to get to understand the twisted world of the Amal and Boyer Gods but until I rode her at 80 today I had no idea. A local Norton guru advised me that it is most likely based upon my tacho reading and speedo that my speedo is incorrect - that and the fact that my helmet was being sucked off my head, I was sliding of the back of the seat and passing everything in sight!

Anyway just wanted to update and say thanks for the help and advice that I've been sucking from the archive.

Welcome to the forum!

Great that you are getting the next generation involved; I've got my 2 older boys thoroughly immersed, and the 2-1/2 year-old is a cinch to be a bike nut.

Hi
you clearly have not been idle in the 5 months it has taken for registration!
Looks really good and I bet your fingers are still sore with all that cleaning and polishing.
Enjoy :D
