I wish I could find a video of Kenny riding a VR880.

Oh, wait…

Don't you have some forks you're supposed to be straightening?

I've seen the video advertisement on youtube for the Dreer bike (not sure if it's Kenny riding it, though), and was hoping we could get something new and fresh from NYC10 -- with better video and sound quality.

just insured it,dmv tomorrow, cant wait.this bike has lots of torque,no vibrations and sounds nasty.I picked it up at orange county choppers last night.met Paul senior told me he only road it 10 mile while he had it.I then went to his house to look at a Triumph he was selling. He sold most of his bikes but has a couple left. This bike has 2000 miles and some good history.I will post a video of it running. The only bad thing is I just rebuilt a 74 commando thats not going to get much use now

I missed where this whole thing started off: Who is "Paul senior" and where was this advertised? I saw the bike on eBay and thought this was going to be it, but from what someone else wrote it appears not.

In a previous thread regarding shocks for Nortons (rear shocks), I brought up the subject of shocks with offset eyelets because I'd seen some at Dreer's when I once visited there. I was careless and didn't note the name and model number of those shocks, however, and was subsequently unable to figure out what I'd been shown. I see your bike has the shocks in question, though, so could you please post the brand and any identifying information? I'm sure everyone here would appreciate learning what they are, because with the offset eyelet(s) they fit well in regards to the chainguard.

Must be fun to work at the DMV when bikes like this come through for licensing. But I can't see how a bike fitted with empty megaphone mufflers disguised as peashooters, and with no turn signals, too, will get past a state inspection. If so, the requirements there are different than a lot of other states. You might save yourself some time mounting quieter mufflers for the inspection, and turn signals, too, if you have either.

Speaking not only for myself, but what must surely be other members on the board here, I'll be disappointed if you don't post additional videos on youtube of this machine in action.
ny inspection for motorcycles is easy if you know where to go.Its done by private shops

Paul Sr is the "father" from the American Chopper TV series, on e-bay when the bike was up for sale, it was mentionned it belogned to him, the auction went to over $16,000 but his reserve price was over that so it did not sell. I was surprised to see someone get it, but sometimes, the seller contacts the highest bidder and offers the bike to him directly, this must have happened. Without disclosing anything, I can say he got a terrific deal and a beautiful bike.

Is the entire promo video on YouTube? I've only seen the segment with the wheelie on there.

Yes, it was Kenny riding the bike in the video. He's given me a fairly pristine DV master copy for our film. I'm also hoping to get some VR 880s together at some point to get some new video. I promise the video and sound quality will be better than what you've seen so far.

cheers,
tom
