NEW TO ME VR800

Alrighty a famous Dreer creation that will turn heads where ever you go and your own at home too. Might ping Kenny to let him know he's still bringing joys to strangers with his blood sweat and tears.

I actually called him by accident ,he said he knew the bike and will try to find the original build sheet and send it to me.Hes a really nice guy and remembers every bike he built.

Yes like a father remembers what it took to create each new child. Kenny's vibes are wonderful to take in as your own. Some video of his VR's show em pulling wheelie in lower gears, so be ware and not have forks turns much on surprise lift offs and touch downs. We don't get to see video on these started and running much up close so give us more thrill that way when ya can. You may find as I did that a C'do can pull more G's in 1st and 2nd than many moderns before they have to back off d/t wheelie trying to keep up with ya below 100 mph.

Does this one have an under frame isolastic? If so sure would like feed back on the sense of isolation.

Nice Jeep Wagoneer in the background nyc10. Is that a 1977? Looks to be in good shape. Had a 1978 Grand Wagoneer Limited. And the VR 880 is also nice.

Is that Paul Sr's bike?

I believe it was in his collection, but I don't think there's documentation to that effect. I could be wrong...

just insured it,dmv tomorrow, cant wait.this bike has lots of torque,no vibrations and sounds nasty.I picked it up at orange county choppers last night.met Paul senior told me he only road it 10 mile while he had it.I then went to his house to look at a Triumph he was selling. He sold most of his bikes but has a couple left. This bike has 2000 miles and some good history.I will post a video of it running. The only bad thing is I just rebuilt a 74 commando thats not going to get much use now

Well, not too many of those around, and even fewer grey ones that wer on e-bay last week or the week before. He had bids which did not meet his reserve, did you get a good deal?

Really nice one you got there, especially if everything he said on his ad was true.

I missed where this whole thing started off: Who is "Paul senior" and where was this advertised? I saw the bike on eBay and thought this was going to be it, but from what someone else wrote it appears not.

In a previous thread regarding shocks for Nortons (rear shocks), I brought up the subject of shocks with offset eyelets because I'd seen some at Dreer's when I once visited there. I was careless and didn't note the name and model number of those shocks, however, and was subsequently unable to figure out what I'd been shown. I see your bike has the shocks in question, though, so could you please post the brand and any identifying information? I'm sure everyone here would appreciate learning what they are, because with the offset eyelet(s) they fit well in regards to the chainguard.

Must be fun to work at the DMV when bikes like this come through for licensing. But I can't see how a bike fitted with empty megaphone mufflers disguised as peashooters, and with no turn signals, too, will get past a state inspection. If so, the requirements there are different than a lot of other states. You might save yourself some time mounting quieter mufflers for the inspection, and turn signals, too, if you have either.

Speaking not only for myself, but what must surely be other members on the board here, I'll be disappointed if you don't post additional videos on youtube of this machine in action.
