New (to me) Dominator

I’m really interested in hearing more about your Sahara ride!

Theres a pub section, or a motorcycle related section, how about posting a bit of a story and some pics in there ??
I can do that for sure! Here's a build thread and some pictures you can take a look at:

There are some pics at the end, but I can post something up here as well!

Ahh bugger, sorry I could have sent you some screws...I never thought chap. I replace those shite stainless ones with high tensile.
I'm a little torn on the rubber rear mounting bobbins, as won't that allow the exhaust to flex more....leading to weld failures at the front?

No worries Stu, all sorted on the screw front. Yea, I'm not 100% on the bobbins. They are pretty short, so hopfully limitd flex. I know iwilson on here had Megaphone copies made and was advised without any give, cracking would occur.

He did this:

and as far as I know has reported no issues.

Additionally I know of one owner who has seen cracking of both the rear mount and the around the pipe right at the head port..thankfully not at the same time!

When mounted up, I'll have a look at how much flex there is. It all works perfectly in my head, so reality might be a different matter!

They crack near the cylinder head flange, and also along the sections (megaphones are many sections tig welded and ground back) and at the rear mounting points. In my opinion a lot of the problems came from people forcing the pipes to sit level, before bolting them up. So they end up under tension. When I fit them, where ever they sit is where they stay...wonky or not. Ideally they should have been sand bent, sprung at the flange and rubber mounted at the rear.
