Hi all, my baby is a '72 Interstate which I'm playing with to get her on the road for this summer, assuming we have one. Now here's the query, in the Haynes manuel & the Noton parts book I should have plain & friction plates, 3 of one and 4 of the other when I opened mine up I have two thick friction plates which look like bakelite and one thin steel plate. Is this some aftermarket clutch? keep it? dump it? It slips a bit but gets there in the end. FYI the bike was garaged and unridden from '77 to '00 the previous owner wasn't very handy and so at a guess if this isnt standard it was done before he bought it in '74
