Yea. Here in the states, we grow lots of corn for profit and like to burn our food supply instead of sharing it. You know, that way we can keep the motorcycle and boat industry going when the ethanol eats them.

Mine are due to arrive next week, I’ll post the link when I know it’s a trustworthy source!
Plan is to turn down the head with a bit of a taper to pretty them up a tad.
Hopefully it’s a simple solution.
I actually ordered 2, shudda got more as the ‘spare’ has already been ‘bagsied’!
I might order a bag full and donate them to Norton!

It might be tidier to make a turned piece to recess it into very much like the standard domed bar end? It is not beyond the realms of possibility to get them anodised if Alu.
I plan to also use the fitting to make a mount point for the dash (bar?) camera. To my mind an essential piece of kit. Hmm - I might have just thought up a new thread......

I am also looking for a way to mount a Road Angel Gem+ 'safety' camera GPS in front of the clocks.

Fitted the bar end mirrors last night, one was wobbly and I presumed it was faulty but then read someone else had this issue and it just needed a tighten up so that was easy enough. Yes see what you mean about the fluid pods coming lose, had to leave the nuts in situ and will obtain some M8 (i think) cap bolts soon to neaten it off, should have been supplied really.

Had a good look at the bike and very pleased with the look. Struggling to find the battery charging lead near the rear shock. Not sure what that plastic ring is either on the right hand shock.

Hung back from work this morning to take it for its first proper ride. Took a couple of goes to get it started and then left it for 4-5 mins to warm up. Rode to end of road and stopped, engine cut out. Took a couple of goes to get it started then moved off, nearly fell off due to tight turning circle, will have to try and get used to that. Rode off, quite lumpy bumpy. Carried on for a couple of miles and when slowing down and changing down, kept feeling the bike cutting out which it kept doing when I came to junctions, noticed then a warning light which I guess was something to do with the engine management system. Fuel light then came on so continued to garage which was on way back. Filled her up which solved that light but still wanted to cut out on me at every junction and traffic light on the way home, had to call cars past me. Got me home and check manual and it says "Malfunction Indictaor Lamp". Not a great start, it was only just road tested on Tuesday.

Will phone Donnington to see what they suggest, I hope they come out to fix. Have a feeling my breakdown cover will be used.

The turning radius is on you. It does take a little getting used to. Like a race bike. All the rest, I wish I hadn't read. The acid is building up in my stomach.

I have mentioned this before but you can get a left hand thread Ram mount bracket which you can use for sat nav camera etc just use the original mirror mount to bolt it to

The factory needs to test ride these bikes ! To Make sure everything is ready to go , just like a dealer would.

If you move it up the fork leg to start with, it will then show how much the fork has compressed during a ride. I assume it's an indicator that would be useful if you are getting the suspension tuned.

They do. When I visited the factory, the bike does about 5 miles on a rolling road and all the mapping is done. Then it gets road tested. My bike had about 17 miles on it when delivered.

I am waiting for them to come back. Probably something quite simple but it is worrying and thoughts of selling it on soon did happen but I am hoping I fall in love with it when sorted.

Thanks comet, i looked at some online pictures and can see the plastic ring on many pictures so figured it might be what you suggest.

Mine had 19 mile delivery mileage. Not ridden mine yet, started it at first touch of button when it arrived. Did you check your battery? Mine needed a full charge. Are you sure your stalling wasn't due to fuel starvation? My tank was empty and fuel light was on but others here have warned me NOT to rely on fuel light being an indicator of a low tank. I have a lack of junctions around these parts so I'm hoping I can get first 50 - 100 mile on her without too much hassle.
 
If you didn't upgrade the ignition then thats part of the issue. Wrong fuel could be. And how you start it make a huge impact. don’t touch the throttle!! Or you screw up the sensor inputs. Check out my manual throttle control.

Fuel light to actually running out is 20miles.

I remember reading your thread on not reving whilst starting so it wasn't that. I could hear fuel in the tank but the fuel light came on after about 2 miles and then I filled up within 3 miles of that. When it started, it was very weak on tick over. I will find the battery flying lead over the weekend and give it a good charge. If the weather is ok, may give it a run out and hope for better results. When its running in a straight line its ok but slowing down and holding the clutch in for any longer that a quick gear change down and it conks out. I don't want to be bump starting at 60mph.

But on the ignition upgrade, surely new bikes don't need this do they, of so what do Norton say about that.

I neglected to ask the factory what procedure is for warranty issues, does anyone know if they come out to you or collect and re-deliver.

I just put my fingers up behind the top of right rear Ohlin and out popped the battery fly lead. Chatting with Clem at Donington I got the impression that Norton expect the new owner to get the bike back to them for any warranty work..... a bike trailer and tow hook might be my next purchase ;)

Yes, a new bike needs this!! Sorry. Ive heard but cannot confirm the ORM wires and coil are to sneak by the euro emissions. Again, sounds crazy and can’t confirm but sadly stock wires and coil are known as problomatic. The bike will run but it will definitely run the way it was intended if you upgrade. Also, be careful and be sure to get the genuine bosch coil. Lots of fakes. Real cost around $100 +. Fakes cost around $70
