New monoshock space frame

Its a JS3 for BSA lifters ground to a 7/8" radius. Similar profile to the Sifton 460 and D+ cam but with more gradual ramps to avoid valve float.

Thanks for the cam info and running engine with said cam example Jim. đź‘Ť

I've got your JS2 in my 750. It's a good street cam for me. I'd probably get a kick out of the JS3 as well, but it might be a little hard on my clutch getting out of town between stop lights. :)

Does the engine have a standard crank configuration? It does sound little different, but there could be other reasons for that.

The engine also sounds quiet internally in the video. Impressed I am.

Yes its a standard configuration crank. You can see the video blurr here and there because the open pipes are so loud its shaking the camera.

It is an interesting motorcycle. When using a Commando engine, smooth power delivery and handling are usually more important than straight line speed.

Someone found another vid showing the Norton space frame and other interesting frame development featuring Rob Tuluie.

Aerodynamics, of course.
I was referring to overall including customs.

I have seen some the most absolutely UN-aerodynamic custom bikes with every possible shape/profile in various parts including very squared-off-looking bodywork, but no square profile forks.

Yep. Jim is mentioned around 2:02 min, with pictures of the bike in its original configuration. I think the picture there of the bike on the track is with Jim riding, from one of his races at Willow Springs. More pictures of the bike in its later configuration from there to 2:29, where there's a picture of Rob, his girlfriend, and me celebrating his 3rd place at the AMA National in 1990. There's another one with me in it at 2:40 (on the right, with the hat).

This picture is from a track day at Willlow Springs in 2002, when Rob brought the Tularis out and let some of the people who helped him develop it take some hot laps. This is a shot of me on the bike at Willow. It was a pretty cool experience.

For those interested, here are a couple more pictures of Rob's orginal Commando racer. When I first met him at the races, this is the bike he was racing. These pictures are from a time when he rode the bike, in full race trim, to and from a bike meet. Rob was a wild man.

I first met Rob at the Laguna Seca BOTT national where he was racing his Norton. He had a zillion questions. I wasn't racing. I think I was delivering my bike to Ken Canaga who was the new owner. It was Rob's very first race and by some miracle of luck and natural ability - HE WON. He was so overwhelmed with emotion that he couldn't speak when they shoved the mic into his face at the winners circle. After that he was hooked.
