As I mentioned before, I have been shopping for a Norton to replace the 73 that I purchased new in 73 and sold in 75. Thanks to all the information I have learned here the last few months I felt I could make an intelligent purchase. So I just bought a 74 850 and trailered it 1000 miles or so home. So I upgraded a little, bought a bike one year newer than my last. The Suzuki I have been riding the last 2 years just did not do it for me. Gary

It's like that tree in the forest, you know, the one that doesn't make any noise unless someone is watching.

For sure we need pics or we don't believe it.

Welcome Gary!

Don't you believe it, I've never seen half our members' bikes! And given I don't have a camera, nobody's seen mine (although it IS a lovely bit of kit, I assure you!)

But we'd love pics, yes!

eH, pay 'em no nevermind. Although a digital can be had for under $25 at just about any Pharmacy or Grocery store.

See,the Norton is real and so am I! Gary

Sweet! I agree on the colors. Now go ride and find stuff to work on!

Beautiful bike! My first Norton was a 74 850 back in 1980. White, blue and red.
What are your plans for it. Is it ready to ride or will you be doing some work? Needs or wants?

Wow, nice and even know what you look like. Most of us are highly secretive of our identity being out there.

Yeah Britbike, I'm not concerned about my identity as I have no criminal record, yet. Although for the record I sold my first Norton in 1975 because of the speeding tickets I was collecting. As for plans, I am going to renew all of the finishes. The photo is deceptive, as some of the chrome is pitted and the paint is an amateur job. The British Racing Green however is growing on me. Mechanically the bike feels new. It was advertised as a low mileage bike. Not sure about that but it shows no obvious signs of being wrenched on, which pleases me. Some clubman style handlebars, a Corbin seat and tons of detail work are my plans. Also I would like to replace the missing turnsignals with something that has a cleaner more discrete look than original. Gary
