They’re often ‘respectfully’ called Comdoms (COMet DOMinator)

Your Commando is an interesting early one so take good care of it, but you seem to be a man of taste! Comet Norvins are very nice bikes...I am in the process of building a 1948 HRDON, a chopped ex-sidecar racing 998cc engine in a period Domiracer Low Boy frame...

Thats interesting.The frame on the Norvin has an added top tube.It was part of a sidecar racing outfit in the 60s with a V twin Vincent.The tank originally had the name on it "Alexander the great"
