New EMGO Roadster Tanks

I got my first EMGO Roadster tank in today and must admit that I am impressed. It's very well made. I expect I will be selling them for around $475, if anyone wants one PM me. See pics below.
Will have another batch of Premiers for 750 and 850's soon too if anyone else needs any.

Looks really good. Fiberglass tank people take note.

Put on a fuel cap and see how it clips over the front lip. Is the baffle built into these?

Yes i am pretty sure the baffle is built into the tank. I will double check and confirm for sure. I dont have a spare fuel cap to test that. I am looking for some steel side panels and am going to paint the set up silver with black pinstripes for my bike. I have never done painting to this level, so excited to learn somehow. I am over the JPN format.

Andover Norton have new sidepanels available, and they differ from original in that the lower lug on the oil tank cover is a braze-on in thicker metal - I have previously had to repair this part on older panels due to fatigue fracture, so I'd say they're a good product. At £92 for the pair I don't think they're overpriced either.
The tanks do have a baffle welded in - if you look at the tunnel you can see the weld spots either side.





My tanks arrived yesterday, and I'd back up Jerry's (and Ken's previous) comments - they're a good product, and the welding is mostly on par with original, although some further dressing of the front seam will be required.
It crossed my mind that the tank could be 'de-seamed' as per Austin Mini practice to suit early 'S' and Roadsters, but the top profile still wouldn't be as the originals were, so probably not worth the risk.

That's good to hear. I have some on their way right now, and judging from those pics, they will be a good item. My price point target is also $475.00, but of course that is AUD, with only local post to be added.
I am also stocking premiers for 850, and they are AUD$425.00 (except for when I put them on special at AUD $375.00, which I sometimes do).

Thanks for the info on the side panels. I didn't know they had them.

Looking at that Emgo tank in natural made me think of how nice (and pricy) a stainless tank would look. Cleaned up a bit, not too much, and then with bright red Norton script on the sides before clearcoating. Side covers to match of course.
