Saw two new names on the web today!
And that's probably only the public relations folks. The article also mentions 110 employees. That’s already a lot more than the Garner area ever had isn’t it ?
Really ?I just seen skinner is back with norton.
That's an assumption that they'll sell the 7000 bikes skinner mentions, with the purchase price paid to BDO, the capital raising and the current annual running costs they have, seeing a profit is a long way off.I think this is as it must be, if the new Norton company is going to be a financial success.
If they can build machines that match the performance and reliability of other modern companies, Norton will once again attract customers and investors.
This will build a company with a broad product, technical and financial base.
It will need this to weather the changes being foisted upon it and the industry by international regulations.
Once Norton is a success, it can do frivolous things again like compete in the IoM, WSK, and MotoGP.
Until then they need to stay focused on the main objective - to survive, then to thrive.
This is not your grandad's Norton.
For sure it'll be a long, difficult path forward for Norton. That's an assumption that they'll sell the 7000 bikes skinner mentions, with the purchase price paid to BDO, the capital raising and the current annual running costs they have, seeing a profit is a long way off.
Considering the margins on modern superbikes, I just don't see they'll make more margin than the big names.
Thanks for that , I read it with interest .Tony.
