Hello Folks
I just bought a 961 Commando Sport Mk II from Ducati Redmond, Washington, but live in Virginia. I have a local shop that I trust to work on the bike for things I cannot do. Anyway I am aware of CNW and their products. I don't want to go through a Norton dealer to buy some parts and accessories so any suggestions on where else I can find OEM parts? Norton page not too encouraging but I have not tried.
I want to get another seat (single) so I can have it done up aftermarket. No mods yet
thanks
Rob

I live in Michigan, I buy "ALOT" of parts directly from norton in the U.K. with in stock parts I usually get them in 3-4 days shipped to my door.
I have a 2016 Commando SF and a 2016 Dominator Naked. The Commando parts are quicker to get because more were made, the Naked on the other hand it takes weeks-months to get parts because only 10 have been made.
If you want a custom seat you could either have a local place do one or corbin seats do you one.
Depending on your year of bike you should get the following from Colorado Norton Works. Also Richard and his Dad are the pros to know on our bikes. He makes all the manuals on CNW's and designed the special tools needed if you do your own bike work.

One07 transmission vent. Must have.
One07 spark plug wires. Must have.
Bosch Coil. Must have.
NGK CR9EIX Spark plugs. Must have.
I like the Shoria battery and chargers.

Hello SIC 58 , If you have a look at the AF1 Racing website you will see a good section dedicated to Norton. They are a dealer in Austin TX. Don't let that discourage you. I have purchased parts from them and everything I wanted was a point and click affair.

thank you both TonyA and Voodooo for your responses. Very helpful.
I did order some things off of AF1 and do intend to get some of the essentials from CNW.
Still breaking in the bike with less than 200 Miles. Lot of paint mixer / mechanical racket..:)

I order direct from the factory. No offense to AF1 but if you notice, most of their items say "special order" which probably means "we'll order it for you" plus shipping and possible fee. Most items are at my door in New York in 4 days. Shippings a little pricey so try to have multiple items in one box.

I agree 100%. This was exactly my point. Thank you.

Any parts ordered from UK sales, is the same as ordering from a dealer, it is separate from the factory and is treated the same as any other dealer.
due to limited dealer coverage parts were supplied direct at one point, but this is no longer the case, any parts enquiries will be referred to your nearest dealer.

No more emailing the factory for parts?

Thank you for clearing up the situation.
The response to requests and orders was much quicker with the direct way to the factory... Unfortunately now waiting time is thus much longer and interface errors occur.

I figured as much after hearing that Callum left. So I ordered a new dipstick and a couple of other items through MCC about 3 weeks ago. I have yet to receive a status.

Callum and I are fb friends and also text via phone.
I'm in the USA.
Since he's left and went to JCB, Nortons after sales parts department went to hell. When Callum was their id receive my order in 3 days from the U.K. To Michigan USA.
I bought over $11,000.00 US dollars worth of parts in the last 12 months with Callum and he was a pleasure to work with.

I placed an order 2 months ago for some parts and I have still yet to receive anything even after I was told the parts order was ready.
Kevin and Clement told me numerous times that the order was ready and they would send me a invoice. Two months later, numerous emails back and forth and still nothing.

I bought a new 2016 Dominator Naked and it had shipping damage and I needed a new tail light, rear turn signal and bracket so I can legally ride my new bike and still nothing.
I own two 2016 Nortons. A Commando SF and a Dominator Naked. I love the bikes but the service SUCKS!
I miss Callum!

Sounds like a HUGE step backwards ! And just when things were starting to look tempting again.

Back to the days of silence and frustration of you boys...

Callum helped me numerous times. He didn't always get things right, like quoting the price of a primary cover at 195 pounds (actually 490something) but none the less, I've had numerous excellent transactions with Callum and Valerie from billing. Both gone.

That said, Kevin did a great job getting out my primary cover and a few other items.

THAT SAID......My dealership, who is no longer a Norton dealer and Norton won't even send them parts possibly due to a resentment, lost my headlight sometime in the 5 months they were waiting for parts. They are buying me another one. They ordered it from a dealership in California about 6 weeks ago. Every week they call that dealership and they tell my dealership they are waiting on Norton. Not sure of what to believe here. Everybody has a different story. To top it off, my dealership failed to order the spacers that were in the box that go with the new style headlight bucket. So.....that's why I said enough. Waiting for a headlight for 6 weeks. Really? A little electrical tape works fine until the new one arrives.
