Have tidied wires from battery up a little since the photo but my symptoms were on cool mornings would turn engine over but weak or no spark.

Nothing beats charging battery up (bike is nowhere near power for battery tender) but wasn't sure if the cold or possibly moisture( on coils, plug boots - have greased since) was making it hard for the battery.
Think I may have a earth leak as well somewhere so was looking into battery switch.

No matter...an $80 (eBay) Li-ion (12Ah) smashed it on first revolution.

Fits in jacket pocket as well. (Bloody hope it doesn't start a fire in there though!)

Norton resuscitation kit

Just for when needed or on an overnight ride as security.

I am using a similar device since I can't keep mine on a charger until I add a second cable. It does work amazingly well. Starts the engine as if it had been on a charger for days. The only tricky part is giving the regulator/rectifier sufficient time to charge the battery before take off. If I am not patient the engine stalls and I am forced to reconnect the jump starter and repeat.

Some people haveing success with the Shorai set up. CNW has a lot of experience with Shorai if you need help.
