I just replaced another duff (less than 3 year old) Motobatt battery on my T160 (3 have failed early so I'm done with them) Anyway I ended up looking around a while and went with a Yuasa YTX15L-BS which was £55 , what I find strange is a Yuasa YTX14L-BS with less cranking power is more expensive . The cheapest I could find on ebay was £114 with most over £200. Anyone know why ?

Just checked two of my one year old 12v AGM batts and they both only hold 12.2 volts. Maybe the name on the case is meaningless now. Like buying Lucas brand anything. They buy the name and then paste it on stuff made to the lowest price from the Chicoms. But then is that not in the finest British motorcycle industry playbook?
Cheap as possible and out the door!

It does say on all my Yuasa Motorcycle batteries 'Made in USA' so I expect them to last longer than Motobatts.

I had a motobatt go bad pretty quickly on my t160 and on my commando
I now have a yuasa on the trident and an odyssey on the commando and although the ah is down on what Alton recommends for their starter it just about handles it

I use an ETX20L in my T160. One of the most commonly used sizes in all of powersports.

Deka Powersports AGM is Made in Lyons, PA.
Great longevity.

Yuasa battery is 20 minutes down the road from Deka. Yuasa used to have the contract for HD motorcycles, It now belongs to Deka. HD just slaps a sticker on there that says HD part # etc., well actually the manufacturer does. As long as it's made in the USA, you can't go wrong.
