Does anyone have any experience of Motolug trailers? I’m looking towards retirement and riding my old bikes in interesting places but sitting on the motorway on my Bonnie or Commando isn’t doing them or me any good for the 1000 or so miles it takes to get to the Alps or Pyrenees and I like the idea of stashing the trailer in the boot of my car when I get to where I’m going so I’m not a nuisance to the hotel I’m staying at. So the question is with regard to a Motolug are they any good and are they ok for serious miles?

Thanks
Dave

Split is between the 2 rows of 4 bolts. The axle unbolts too so you have 3 sections.

I'm assuming you'll be buying a brand new one?
As the older type were weak where the main pin goes through to support the pivot point
The upgrade is a triangular plate with a hole to stiffen up the assembly
I did one recently for someone
I also converted the pins to bolts

Yes looking at a new one but as they are twice the price of an Erde I just wanted to be sure they are ok for what I’m looking to do.
