Well as the title says my youngest daughter has been accepted into the police force, she starts tomorrow, I have never had much luck with coppers so be good to have one on my side lol, she sold her 660 Triumph triple a few months ago so she has just replaced it with a 2019 model of the same to get her to her police college, be March next year before she is a full officer, she always wanted to be a copper, the last 3 years she been working in the police call centre and finished up there last week she wanted a week off she is so excited.
I told her when she becomes a full officer to get in the drug squad so she can get me some free samples lol, she is very lucky as she got into some troubles when she was in high school and lucky she hadn't got a criminal record, very lucky indeed.
Back in the old days Queensland police was very corrupt and even back in the 70s our local head detective was the biggest corrupt officer around but in the 90s he became Queensland police commissioner, we use to call him pinhead as he looked like a pinhead lol, but times have changed now after a big clean out of corrupt cops after a 3 years royal commission into the police force and a few coppers got locked up and some were in high office at the time, a lot retired while the RC was on going, aaaah the good old days are long gone.
Well to my daughter Rose I wish her well in her new career and hope she stays safe.

Ash - You mention "croup" cops three times. Never heard the term.
What does it mean?
...and, all the best to your daughter!
Cheers

Sorry my spelling mistake and spell check didn't fix it lol, corrupt cops, Queensland police force back in the 70/80s under Joe's rules and the minister for everything.
Wasn't very interested in schooling, was never good with English/spelling and everything to do with school, spent too much time looking out the window or daydreaming instead of learning anything, got in more trouble than anything else and high school I wagged school more than I was there as soon as I hit 15 I was out the door and never looked back, wagged high school to work with my dad or go down the creek chasing mud crabs and fishing, the bikes came not long after leaving school.

Back in the 1970s, nobody could be a vagrant in Queensland. The cops in a small town locked-up two of my mates - then had them working around the town. To get away - the two guys ran to their bikes, started them and jumped on and roared out of town - it was effectively a jail-break. I think they had been stuck there for two weeks. We used to call Queensland 'The Deep North'. There are similarities. There used to be slaves in Queensland - 'blackbirds'.

I cannot make a political comment about peanut farmers on this forum - unfortunately. A royal commission ruined his reign.

I had to laugh - a few years ago at 4am in the middle of winter, the Victoria police brought a drunken relative home to me. She called the police woman a lesbian. The police woman said ' this - from somebody who allows herself to be used as a door-mat'.

I asked her once, why do you want to become a police officer, she said "so I can arrest you dad" lol, she has a lot on me I be locked up straight away lol.
