I used to dirt race and ride with these fellows almost 50 years ago.
Lately we have been doing some road touring together. The ladies asked to come along, so we rented a house on Vancouver Island, Port Renfrew.
My friends get a little annoyed when we fill up with fuel or stop in any public place.
People are always drawn to the old Vincent. The either want to know what it is, or they know what it is but have never seen one in the flesh, much less out on tour.
There's just no interest in the Beemers or even the Africa Twin( a rental).
Sometimes you almost have to be a bit rude to get going and back on the road.
This is the 47, engine #38, built very early in Vincent's totally new postwar design production. As the engine # denotes, this was the 38th bike built after the war.
