Since Jerry had to lock the main thread for now I thought I'd start a new one so we can make comments about the various contestants.

Let me just start out by saying there are some amazing bikes in the contest, the stunning collection of Type S's alone all deserve to win. They are just beautiful.

You be be assured I won't be voting for my bike! Now just to figure out which one should get the most votes. This is going to be tough.

Seeing there are a number of "S" models (4 to date) being presented, there should be a special category for best looking "S" And guys, ante up a few bucks to make the prize interesting.

Jean

I didn't see you had started another thread, so I will delete mine and go with this one.

Yeah, I had too much hubris and thought I had it sewed up with my 'S'. What a laugh. There are too many good jobs out there this year. I think we should all give up and just donate all the money to Jerry and call it a draw, but then that puts me in a better position, so I better not say anything.

Everyone has done an exceptional job and should be happy with their own results.

I too, will have to thank everyone for the help and encouragement (and humor) from this forum.

Hey Al did u finish your s type? The last I knew u were waiting on getting the tank and stuff back from the painters, did I miss the photos?

I must have missed something since I didn't even really know the forum was hosting a best of 2010. I recall hearing talk about it. Always a buck short and a day late, but I never read the stickies at the top of the page. :D So how did one qualify or enter? Could one have entered their own bike or were entrants selected by other members ect?

Send Jerry your "before" and "after" pix, with a brief write-up and specs.

Easy as cake (but only 2 days left to enter).

With all of the fine entries it makes me envious of the patience required to do the work shown and my dilemma is voting for a stock restoration or a modified build. The two that stand out in my mind are swooshes and dogT because of their diligence in posting the whole process from beginning to end. That added time consuming task pushes them both over the top in my book. I may have missed other posts, but those two stand out in my mind. I also like the purple S. I'll probably have to draw a name out of a hat for my vote.

Jerry sent out an email a few weeks ago but since you're in Canada it might take a while to get to you. :|

Or check your spam filter.
