Well, I think this turned out much better than the last one. Helps to put the memory card in correctly…

I did tweak the sounds a bit to cut out the wind noise. Camera is still not the best quality but you can get the idea.

The bridge you see is the St. Johns Bridge built in 1931. From there I went up and down Germantown Road, which is just a wee curvy.

I only can get an half hour of video on the 1GB card, I have a 2GB card I need to try.

Enjoy.

Looks like a nice place to ride, but please tell me those were not speed bumbs in a two lane road?

Swoosh!
great video, thanks for posting.
You live in a nice neighborhood! why did they let you in?
How you gonna send that kid to college if you're blowing it all on real estate taxes and an old bike? make that a really fine old bike!
cheers,
Don

Pitty they put speed bumps on such nice tight roads, how dare they spoil everyones fun, we have lots of tight mountain roads around our neck of woods, but in the last few years so many crosses on the side of the road from so many new and young unexperanced riders making the wrong judgement and then the police tryin to catch everyone just having some fun.

There are speed bumps on some streets, I managed to go down most of them in the video.

I'll spare telling you about the dedicated bike streets they have here. Fucking bicyclists.

Nice road there Swoohdave.
Ditto on the Speed bumps (I curse the man who invented such an annoyance)
What is your Gearbox sprocket ? Sounded like you were in third most of the time.
Cheers

The city spent $2.3 million creating bicycle designated streets. And the bicyclists don't use them. So now we have neighborhood streets filled with speed bumps. And the bicyclists clutter the other streets.

They need to license and tax the bicyclists here. Of course they would riot if that happened.

I think it's a 19 but the belt drive changes the ratio. I spend a lot of time in 3rd.

I try to keep it above 3000 rpm to insure that the battery stays charged but there's a vibration at about 3500 rpm that I don't like. My brother said that the new isolastic rubbers cause this.

I wonder if you have the Vernier Iso MarkIII conversion kit? I was talking to Highway who is the local Britbike mechanic and he's not happy with them...says the rubber is too hard and not as soft as the originals.

Yes.

That's why I went with the old style rubbers and parts. I had heard the newer isolastics were stiffer. I think mine are still wearing in, but seem to be getting better.

Quit whining and buy a bicycle, your heart will thank you for it, not only that, you can eat like a pig and not look like one

Now you're saying I look like a pig? Nice.

I have plenty of bikes but when I ride them I act just like an asshole bicyclist; ignoring stop signs, riding too wide in the street and blocking cars, and generally being a douche.

Well Dave I have the same on my Combat so I will have to report back on the effect. If I don't like it I will drill some holes in the rubbers to tame the beast. But that’s down the road. I’m real close on completion on this bike. Just finished bleeding the M/C 13 mm re-sleeve. Man what a PIA that turned out to be, but now its sorted and its holding and giving good lockup at about 1/2 way of lever travel.

I never did get my front brake to work the way I wanted to. It stops the bike just fine but the lever comes back pretty far. Doesn't hit the grip so I keep riding.

Here's the approximate trip from the ride. About 120 miles. I hope you guys appreciate the sacrifice I make for you riding on that Proddy seat for those distances.

Morning Ride Video

I should have gotten more video but I was enjoying the roads too much. You would not believe how smooth some of them are. And curvy.

Sheeesh, I said you can eat like a pig and not look like one when you ride a bicycle, what you do IF you don't ride a bicycle is YOUR problem. As to riding like an idiot, well, I didn't say anything about that. I for one ride like I am invisible because basicaly I am to 90% of motorists, if that means ride through stop signs, I will do it, if it means running red lights, I will do that too. My own safety is my credo and so far it has proven itself.

I'm just messing with you. I'm pretty sure you're a respectful rider as you have to learn to be when on a motorcycle. It's a lot different with the bicyclists who think they own the road and that everyone else should get out of their way.

I know, bad drivers are bad bicyclists and bad motorcyclists, it is a shame they don't rub themselves out of existance.
