I have a 1974 Norton Commando .
Can I get a Monza style cas cap in aluminum that will fit the original filler neck ,
without any modification ?
Where to buy ?

Michael

Hi there Michael
Not sure where you are but RGM in the UK list one. their part number 320220. Worth emailing to confirm fitment. The cap on my 72 750 Commando is 2.5" diameter. RGM have a good reputation for prompt shipping worldwide.
There are also a few on ebay. Hope this helps.

Your Commando uses a Ceandess die cast, chrome plated, flip up fuel cap. The Monza flip up fuel cap originally made by Enots of England will not fit a Norton Commando fuel tank. You would have to modify your fuel tank to make the Monza fuel cap with it's matching filler neck work.

Ceandess also made an aluminum flip up fuel cap at one time but it is also of a different design and will not work on a Commando without modifying the fuel tank.

+1 on RGM and speed of shipping. Just bought a front break caplier / disc upgrade for my restoration, arrived in AZ in less than a week. Good communications, and some issues with what came in the kit. Not clear one doesnt get the brake pads in this unit on the website page, and they are sending a set for no charge. RGM is great in my book.

The alloy Monza caps require a threaded filler neck

i do not think you can get a direct replacement item in polished alloy
the stock Ceandess caps are die cast chrome plated finish
