I am rebuilding the right hand switch gear for a '75 MKIII. I need to replace all the screws that hold it together. Most of them appear to be 10-32 except for the one that is in the upper left corner (in picture). I can place a #30 drill bit in it so the root is .128". that puts around a # 8 screw but neither 32 or 36 tpi seem to work. I am guessing it might be a BA. Parts book I have shows all 10-32 but that incorrect.
Anyone happen to know what screw fits in there

Thanks,

hi there Deets55, I got mine from fred and ella over at Oldbritts if I remember correctly.

Les,

Just got back from NAPA. yes 4mm x 20mm will work.

Thank you,
Pete

Good, and the other two screws are likely to be M5 rather than 10-32.

Les,
Correct again M5 x .80. The original screw dia. came in at 0.191" the 10-32 were 0.185". Plus the Metric was easier to find than the fine thread in Stainless.
