MK3 seat mounting

Hey all,
I am in the process of aquiring a MKIII seat from GrandPaul. I would like to use this seat on my 73' 850 Roadster (excluding the keyed lock parts) but I cannot for the life of me figure out how it mounts to the frame using the hinge bracket. I have looked at the MKIII parts book which is no help at all other than knowing what the bracket looks like. I am wondering how this bracket mounts on a standard MKIII frame. I want to be able to use this seat on the earlier frame but I do not want to just cobble something together to make it work.
I am an Army guy so pictures are sometimes more effective than words.
Can someone post a picture of how the bracket mounts to the frame on a MKIII? If I can see how it mounts, I should be able to fab a nice looking mount for my earlier frame and use the hinge setup. From the parts book, it looks like it mounts with a series of screws/bolts? It does not look like it mounts to the aluminum knob on the hinge side. Pics pleeeeze!! :mrgreen:

One bolt up ahead of the shock mount, the other behind it (has to be the later, longer welded outer fin on the frame). You can always weld up a bit of steel to extend an earlier frame's reach to catch the second bolt, and you'll have to drill your own hole for the front bolt. or, you can simply weld a second grooved tab to the seatpan on the left side, for the knob to catch.

The MkIII seat hinge fits onto an extended outer shock plate on the MkIII frames.

The left hand "seat knob" is a dummy on the MkIII models as it doesn't actually do anything, but the right hand knob still secures the seat, just in case you were wondering (the MkIII models also have a seat lock).
