Hi Guys though I have searched this Forum I have not come up with specs that I am confident in- I have recently purchased a disassembled Mk3 850. The crank of which I am about to get ground to .010 under [first regrind] and will probably get it balanced at the same time. The rest of the motor will be in standard specs and is planned as a keeper for normal use, the Factory specs are 63% dry / 52% wet, is this a good balance factor for a motor in a street Commando that will be ridden "normally".

Yes, Bob @ Balancing Specialities in New Lynn did mine to that. He knows his way around Commandos and has done a bunch. Mine runs like a top, smooth as.

Can only back up what Mr Gortnipper has said , Bob too did my crank to the same specs.
totally different motor now .(in a positive way)

If you have your crank out then have it crack tested before you balance it. They commonly crack at the stress raiser between the drive side shaft and the crank cheek.
