Sorry I was so cynical Les, I do wish I had access to all that info, never came up in any of my searches.
I'm not so savvy with the Internet, getting better the more I use it.
I have platinum pads in the front but they were too hard in the back. Tried AP, again too hard then ended up using some garden variety (might be Emgo or Asian) which whilst they probably won't last long, give a nice progressive pedal.
That 1/2" kit for the front was a bitch, seems the pucks were too far back in the caliper so had to blow the pads onto the disc with compressed air before it would bleed, took me a few days to get it sorted. Very little difference between the platinum and AP's in the front, the soft pads feel a bit grabby, but I do have drilled disc's, might be different on undrilled. Wish I new about Access Norton before then!
Wasted a good cap making a pressure bleeder.........
