Mirrors

Not sure what bars you have but for CR I love my halcyon stainless round. Must hang downwards - can't see much in them that way but they look just right. Sprung mirror arms are very useful.

I've used tanax Baren aka Napoleon bar ends AP101, good quality and around $82 AU a pair, similar to Ken Sean 075/Triumph Thruxton. To fit you just need to find another 8mm standard nut and round it off a little to neatly fit inside the bar end, then cut a 20mm length of 5/16" (7.9mm) fuel hose to replace the oversize rubber sleeve that comes with the mirrors.. easy as...

I have CRG lane splitter mirrors.
Made of billet aluminum.
Replaceable glass.
Foldable.
Don’t vibrate or move when riding.
Anodized.
Can be mounted up, down, outward etc.
Easy 5 minute install.
No cutting, drilling or any modifications.
USA made.

I think you have to go a long way to beat the Rizoma's, as long as you are willing to sell a kidney. I am eyeing up the Rizoma SPY-R (60, 80 or 94 mm dia) mirrors for my Cafe Racer. They also need an adapter kit (code LP200B) to fit the 14mm bars.

These mount at a right angle to the bar (set back from the bar end) and as such appear to make the bike, with mirrors, narrower in comparison to some other brands including the Norton Cafe Racer mirrors. The Norton mirrors are much cheaper however, if people are looking to keep more authenticity.

I am tempted to go for the 60 mm dia option to minimise the mirror profile however, the minimum legal dia for mirrors in Aus is 94mm. Hate to fall fowl of 'PC Plod' as I already have a less than clean license!!

Looking to replace the brake and clutch master cylinders with Rizoma's too. We have all spent so much on our beloved Norton I am loath to put anything but the best on there. Rizomas appear to be the best quality - I am open for debate on that of course!!!

Try the link I posted above. Carpimoto in Italy. They have closeouts at great prices. I needed a replacement for my Rizoma and paid about half of what I paid for the original. Love the Rizoma. Zero blur, glare free tinted glass, best styles and well made.

Are your mirrors on barends or on the bars themselves ?

Oberon,
Oozing quality & English.
I'm pretty sure that the mirrors fitted to the anniversary CR were made by oberon, they looked very well made but they were too small and scratched readily, so mine went into the bin.

yes I am sure it was Oberon also. I changed mine to some black ones also from Oberon via Moorespeed and they can be seen in the thread pictures of you bike in my post yesterday
