I'd like to buy one mirror and avoid more buying more rejects. I want a fairly short left side mirror mounted on the clutch lever mount, maybe round, maybe a triangleish rectangle. I don't want any plastic. The hole for a mirror on my 1972 Commando isn't threaded, so I'm not sure what the ideal mount is. I assume the threaded stem pushes through, and a fancy tapered nut on top and plain nut on the bottom. I assume that rules out all 10 MM mirrors for Asian mounts. Prefer UK made.
I've seen mirrors called something like "Genuine Norton" with a triangleish rectangle head but were on a fairly tall stem. Wasn't sure if the threads fit though my unthreaded hole. They were kind of exensive for their appearance for about $120 US.
