Mirror heads for ‘74 MkII 850

So pulled the trigger and ordered two mirror heads from Halcyon in the UK. They arrived yesterday, look and fit great and so far, live up to the expectations expounded by some here. That old adage, you get what you pay for rings so true with a clearer image and less vibration.
Thanks again for all opinions and suggestions guys.

He's got a lot of followers too. Thousands of posts with multiple years on the site and zero financial support.
Easier to let others pay and pretend the operating costs don't matter.
You can afford to own a Norton but you put up 5 bucks a month to support the site that helps you keep it running.

Well, I pushed a foam rubber plug into the bar end with the Halcyon mirror, then measured that depth.
Next clamped the bar vertically in a vise and filled/tapped/filled/tapped until I had the same space at the top end. Put in the second foam plug and... voila!!
Does that do it for you?

Yeah, thanks. I didn't know if it was just in loose like a dead blow hammer.

I think it helps to be slightly loose for the movement friction between pellets to add damping to the "weight" effect.
That said, I did frequently tap the bar during the filling process.
It works, but someone may offer improvement to my method?

Lead filling the handlebars did wonders for both visibility out of the mirrors and hand tingle on my Kaw H2. Never thought to use it on a british twin but it makes so much sense.
 
I saw these mirrors on a bike Andy Tiernan was selling. Does anyone know who makes them ?
