Mikuni Carb Throttle Cable

Hi, I got two 34 mikuni carbs on my bike and need a new throttle cable. Im just wondering what other guys are using. Right now I am just using a universal cable but the cable travel is a little short and the one carb doesn't seat all the way. Does anyone know if the threaded cap on the vm36 is the same size thread as the vm34?, and does the vm36 slide travel further then the vm34? I would assume so but just want to make sure.

Hi Dave,
One possibility is to use a Triumph throttle grip and housing which uses two individual cables. Or you can modify your stock cable as needed with cable pieces from a bicycle shop. When I converted to single carb I used bicycle shop pieces to eliminate the twin cable junction box from the throttle and choke cable.
Regarding the cap thread are you asking about the actual cap thread or the cable hole in the middle (which I believe is 6x1mm)????
