Hi all, first post on here (not sorted the posting photos yet sorry).

I've just purchased a pile of parts that is supposed to be a 72 750 Commando in amongst the boxes it has a Never been run Mick Hemmings built Combat engine and a Quaife cased 4 speed gearbox. They were the gold sitting in the tailings.

First question is (as I'm sure many more will follow) it was built with parallel inlet stubs, all nicely flowed in, but they have the facility for a rubber stub carb connection, does anybody know what carburettors might have been originally intended by Mick.

In amongst my growing fleet of Commando projects I have a number of carb options used, original twin Amals, single Mikuni, Double Mikuni with splayed inlet stubs but none for parallel rubber inlet stubs?

Very happy to be guided as I'm a lost soul with a terrible Commando habit that has grown stronger since my first taste in the 1970's

Welcome to the forum 🍻

I had set of bored out 32's back in the late 70's, they were terrible for breaking throttle slides on a regular basis!!
