If you're in the Monterey area next year I highly recommend visiting the Mecum Auction. What a kick in the butt! No charge to get in unless you're registering to buy and free wander everywhere, view auction and oggle all the bikes and cars. There were 700 cars and 200 bikes auctioned off over 3 days and it seemed the bikes sold for way under estimated value. One guy did refuse to remove reserve on a Henderson at $185K :? but the majority sold for $5K to $20K.
Waiting to be sold
Couple nice Nortons
CBX sold for $3900! Seat probably killed price!
Sold Bikes
Kenny Roberts with last 2 stroke GP bike. Made front row at the last race, but didn't meet reserve at $60K bid price
1912 around the world Henderson $185K bid and no sale!
Mecum hammering owner to remove reserve!
