I'd definitely believe that also. Honda is a big player at the TT and the last years events in Ireland and the IOM were a PR disaster. In my opinion they pushed it on to the circuit too early like Yamaha did the year before and found out it the hard way that it wasn't race ready. They've had a year to sort it out and with Hutchy/Lee in the saddle for '18 thats a big vote of confidence for the machine right there.

If Honda cocked up last year, they will be pulling out all the stops to make up for it this year.

They won’t be making it easy for anyone, let alone Norton ...

Can you imagine if they won it, sales would certainly get a boost. Sort of not wanting them to become too big, mind you the prices will keep them from growing too much. Nice article in ride magazine which I just bought all about Nortons plan for growth and the TT

Any news on McPints health and whether or not he’s going to be able to ride?

Does look like they will be looking for another rider then? As i would probably only achieve a lap average around 75mph, it won't be me. Lets hope he's back with us for 2019

The following recent post on Norton FB page. Interestingly my insurance is up for renewal and Bikesure have provided the best online quote, maybe I will give them a ring...

Norton Motorcycles announces sponsorship deal with motorbike insurer Bikesure

Norton Motorcycles is delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal with specialist motorbike insurer Bikesure.

The partnership means Bikesure will become the approved insurer for Norton Motorcycles and will sponsor the iconic British motorcycle manufacturer’s star-studded 2018 Isle of Man TT team.

In the Norton Motorcycle race team this year, are TT legend John McGuinness, who has 23 island wins under his belt and Josh Brookes whom, as a newcomer in 2013, set a then record lap time of 127.726 mph.

Robert Balls, Bikesure Sales Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to have been selected by Norton to be their officially approved insurance partner. To be trusted with their customers, their bikes and their reputation is a huge responsibility.

“Norton is an iconic British motorcycling manufacturer with so much heritage and prestige. The company sums up the entrepreneurial spirit that has been returning to the British motorcycle scene over the past 10 years.

He added: “Norton make stunning bikes and show that they can still lead in design, innovation and crafted engineering.”

Bikesure also plans to develop products for the entire range of Norton Motorcycles, which are among the most exclusive and valuable motorcycles on the road.

Robert Balls added: “We’re looking forward to working with a team which is as passionate about motorcycles as we are.

“Both companies see this as a long term partnership where the emphasis is looking after riders and their machines.”
