Making Pinion Puller

It's made. I sliced off a 1/2" lenght of AL bar stock that was already tapped 3/8 " course. Drilled and tapped 10x24 at each 120 deg. Sawed legs from 2" x 1/2" steel bar . Found they were too short when I got home. Welded tabs to nescessary length and drilled attachment holes.

Grinding the feet to fit in that small indent Took longer than making it . Worked perfect first try. Used the SS clamp because the lip on the feet could be only 1/16". I made two of the AL part .The first was 7/16" thick but looked like it needed to be thicker. It would work since using the SS clamp is nescessary. Think I will finish legs for it and sell it for some more parts money :wink:
