After some major winter updates, I could no longer wait for 50 degree weather. Heated up the garage with a ready heater and gave it a go. This is the second season in a row that this remarkable machine has started on the first kick of the year. I runs incredibly smooth with the stage 1 cam kit from JSMotorsport. He said it would idle a little lumpy at idle but I don't see it. I like a little lumpy, cammy kind of idle. Some fine tuning will be taking place when weather breaks, but for now it's all smiles :D :D :D :D :D

Now for the photos...

Yeah Man, just about removed all the Norton from this Commando. I like that as much as I detest it now. I've gone a bit over board myself with a list too long to begin and ain't done yet. Hope it pleases you no end and then those that inherit it.
A nod to all the time stolen to get er done so far over a season.

If what I've done makes this less of a Norton Commando, then those testosterone pills, steroid shots and viagra you take make you less a man.

This bike was a complete bitsa when I SAVED it. There is one thing I am going to do that should please many. I have a beautiful set of 32mm 932/L34 ,R33's. I believe i will need these to take full advantage of the cam. Any single carb setup will be a waste as far as this bike is concerned.

At the end of last season I was running 2 breathers. One at the lower rear and another it the upper timing case. No check or reed valve were employed. It run perfect with no loss of power at the upper end, 6k+. I have made a change by add reed valves at BOTH location. I really like the way this works.

My billfold hurts just reading the list of upgrades!
Many of these items have been purchased with items that were sold and all the labor is lovingly mine. I''m not saying that good chunk of dough wasn't out of pocket, but much was and is being recouped. Do I have a sickness? You bet! As a recovering person, I know the difference between a good and a bad addiction. All the bills are paid.

Man and Machine,,...cannot see you ever parting with her :!:
I may get another some day but this one is all me. I guess I could call it a Viston or a Norser.

You are a very ambitious man to complete that list for winter projects.
There are 2 lists there. This winters list and the updates from years back list. Ambitious? I don't know about that. For cripe sake, what ever will I do next winter? I'll bet something will come up.
