With the sidestand rotating around the bush, the wear is all on the sidestand. If the bush was pressed, or locked into the stand, the wear would be on the bush rotating on the bolt.

I have always wondered about that. Wouldn't it be an easier fix to replace the bush and/or bolt than to repair the hole in the side stand or replace it, when wear has occurred?

Never been to Cal . We leave every winter . Snowbirds .The MK 111 gets wrapped up every winter in plastic , in my neighbour's back yard . Right beside the legal girl plant , harvested .
