I found the manifolds (RH4) holes to be skewed to each other so machined a jig, so the front holes were parallel to those at the rear after modification then fly cut the surface.
That made the tops of the carburettors flat easily (over filing manifold holes to accomplish the same thing)
I have one of those 'professionally made CNC gantries in a plastic bag somewhere (It is in pieces) and will list it for $50 if I find it. (AU post only)

Time warp Let me know if you find it I would be interested. I also just fitted a madass gantry to my 1972 had the same problems the remedy was drilling the manifolds to line everything up. The hole drilled for the cross over tube is also out of alignment on the gantry. Overall I’m happy with the unit see how I feel once the bike back on the road.
