Hi All,

I live in Southwest Florida and I'm looking for someone to rebuild my 1972 Norton Combat motor. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks,

Hi

This is the second such posts on the subject of owners looking for reliable guys to do norton mechanics. It is difficult no matter which side of any pond you live to find a proficient mechanic to work on your bike without having to sell a kidney to pay for it.
Would it be worth it to have a type of "trip advisor" thread of recommended shops who do good work at a fair price in the spirt of assistance to owners who don't spanner their own machines.
I personally have no recommendations to make.

Over at www.tdiclub.com we have a list of "TDI guru's" throughout the country, for people unable/unwilling to do their own repairs/maint.

I thought we were all good ...that's why we can ride Nortons ... only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time

Carter Brothers Garage , Altoona, FL http://www.carterbrosgarage.com

I second Concours' recommendation....Carter Bro's Garage...Mike & Dave Carter are in the business to keeping British Iron "on the road"...excellent worksmanship...dedicated....knowledgable in all things British...I owe most of my Norton Combat riding happiness to them.
